I am a retiree. Esther's classes encourage me to maintain good posture and greater flexibility. More importantly, everyone can progress at their own comfortable pace.
I have been attending Pilates classes with Esther for two years and have enjoyed every class. As a more mature pupil, I find it has been beneficial to know the best way to promote good balance, posture, movement and keeping subtle.
Since joining Pilates 18 months ago, I have enjoyed all the classes and the teaching is very easy to follow. I have also managed to carry out lots of different movements that I was un able to do before and I find the stretches and balancing very useful. I would recommend this class to anyone who is looking for gentle and fun exercise.
Esther is so enthusiastic about Pilates and it's infectious. I suffer with hyper-mobility and she is very aware of what I can and cannot do. I feel my core strength has improved greatly since we began. Esther is always willing to try out new things and we've just begun Trigger Point Pilates, which is testing my body in aa whole new way.
Esther is constantly researching and sharing knowledge in many areas of physiology - this knowledge reflects in her informed and effective physical practices.
Pilates has helped me with strength, balance and core fitness, with relaxation as a bonus. If I miss a week, I begin to feel creaky again! A fabulous exercise for all stages of life - it was particularly helpful before and after childbirth.
Since joining Pilates, my arthritis in my right hip has improved so much that I no longer need to attend physiotherapy, I just regularly do the exercises that I have been taught by Esther. At last no more aches a before.
Esther is passionate about understanding the body and how Pilates works, providing us with motivation and insight. My posture has improved and I am much more aware of it at all times. Esther is also realistic about our varied abilities and expectations, giving lots of encouragement.
